 to the Western Queensland landscape.


Official Exhibition Workshops: Saturday 27 June 2026


The Queensland based environmental artist has embraced chance and the natural phenomena.During The Mistletoe Waltz exhibition artist and experienced art educator Rosie Lloyd-Giblett will be facilitating two workshops. Lloyd-Giblett is a southeast Queensland environmental artist who actively collaborates with nature, embracing chance and natural phenomena. She creates imagery on paper and canvas with naturally derived mark making materials such as pigments and charcoal. These experiences are translated into expressive paintings, drawings, collages, and artists’ books. 


Nature Construction Children’s Workshop: 27 June, 9am-11.30am

For children of all ages, artist Rosie Lloyd-Giblett will be facilitating a children’s ‘Nature Construction’ workshop from 9am to 11.30am on Saturday 27th June. Using cardboard, newspaper, masking tape, string and paint participants will create their own bird sculpture inspired by the region’s local bird population, such as the Endangered Honey Eater or Southern Boobook Owl. Participants will explore drawing, collage techniques and construction with masking tape and cardboard.

Nature Construction Children's Workshop


Artist Book and Assemblage Workshop: 27 June, 12pm-3pm 

Members: $50 Non-Member: $60


Construct an artist book and assemblage that honours the local landscape and its inhabitants in this 3 hour workshop for youth and adults on Saturday 27th June, from 12pm to 3pm. Artist Rosie Lloyd-Giblett will share skills in creating artist books, plein air drawing and wild tearing flora activities, showing participants how to use these techniques to connect to the birds and trees from within the Warwick Region and the Southern Downs. The workshop will include drawing exercises, developing basic sculptural techniques of concertina folding, fringing and wild tearing to create free-standing artworks.
