4 JUNE - 11 JULY THE GROVE GALLERY
DRAWN TOGETHER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION COLLABORATIVE EXHIBITION
Drawn Together – Help Make Hospital Feel More Like Home is a celebration of the places that matter most to us: our homes. More than four walls, home represents safety, love, comfort and belonging. Through this exhibition, the Warwick and Darling Downs community is invited to share what home means to them - creating a collective portrait of Queensland homes and communities. These artworks become a powerful metaphor for the work of Children’s Hospital Foundation: surrounding children with care, colour and joy, even when illness means they can’t be at home.
When children are seriously ill or injured, hospitals can feel overwhelming. While doctors, nurses and surgeons provide life-saving medical care, Children’s Hospital Foundation delivers the wrap-around care that transforms the hospital experience, helping it feel more like home. This includes play services, music therapy, libraries, toy drives and family support programs. Each year, more than 14,700 children from the Darling Downs attend outpatient appointments at Queensland Children’s Hospital, with over 1,500 admitted as inpatients. Every donation raised through this exhibition directly supports these vital services, ensuring that all Queensland kids - no matter where they call home - are met with comfort, dignity and care when they need it most.
