pARTicipate Miniatures

In 2023 Warwick Art Gallery is committed to providing artists the opportunity to exhibit.


Artists who live on the Southern Downs (resident or rate-payer) are invited to enter our pARTicipate Miniatures exhibition. Artists may enter up to two works in any of the following mediums:


  • Drawing
  • Ceramics
  • Mixed Media
  • Painting
  • Printmaking
  • Sculpture
  • Textiles


Artworks must measure no more than 20cm in any direction. Entries for hanging must be framed and have 2 "D" rings attached. See below for more information.


Entry fee: $5

    Entry forms and fees: due by 4pm Thursday 2 November. No late entries will be accepted. 


    Delivery: to Warwick Art Gallery no later than 4pm Friday 1 December during opening hours. Tuesday - Friday 10am - 4pm, Saturday 10am - 1pm. 


    Exhibition dates:  7 December - 13 January 


    Opening and winners announced: Friday 8 December, 6pm. 


    Collection of unsold work: from Tuesday 16 January 2024

    Terms and conditions 

    1. The entry fee is $5 per entry. No work will be accepted or exhibited without payment of the entry fee. Entry fees are to be submitted with the entry form. 
    2. Works for sale will attract a commission rate of 30%. Payment for works sold will be made within 30 days of the close of the exhibition. 
    3. Items entered must not have previously won first prize at a Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery or Warwick Art Gallery exhibition. Entries must have been created in the previous 12 months.  
    4. All work submitted must be labelled on the rear or base with the artist's name, title of the work and contact details. 
    5. Artwork must not exceed 20cm in any direction. 
    6. The Gallery Director reserves the right to not exhibit work if space is limited or if the work is deemed inappropriate, or if the work is not suitably framed or presented. If an artist's work is not selected to exhibit, the entry fee of $5 will be refunded. 
    7. All paintings must be dry. 2D works without "D" rings will not be hung. A stretched canvas is considered framed but must have "D" rings attached. Our hanging system requires two "D" rings positioned 6cm from the top of the work. Textile works must be ready to display - by rod, pin, fishing line or 3M Command Strip. Self installation of textile and 3D work will be allowed only if prior arrangements are made. 
    8. The winners will be announced at the opening on Friday 8 December at 6pm. 
    9. By entering the competition artists give permission for their work to be reproduced in any form of media related to the promotion of this event. 
    10. Entrants are responsible for the packing, freighting and insurance charges. The Warwick Art Gallery accepts no liability for the loss or damage in the course of transit. Transit insurance remains the responsibility of the exhibitor. All due care will be taken of entries submitted. Appropriate security will be in place during the Gallery's possession of art works. 
    11. All works shouls be delived to the Gallery at 49 Albion Street, Warwick, Queensland by Friday 1 December at 4pm. All works must be delivered during Gallery hours. 
    12. Unsold works can be collected from Tuesday 16 January 2024. Work not collected within 30 days of the exhibition closing will become the property of Warwick Art Gallery Inc.
