Textile Art Workshops 

Start your own textile art adventure!

From the very first Jumpers and Jazz in July in 2004, the textile art workshop program has been the quiet achiever of the festival. Over 600 individuals have participated in the popular program that provides opportunities for keen beginners and curious established artists to learn from renowned textile artists.

Learn how to knit your own socks in this fun two-part workshop. Participants must be comfortable knitting small gauge items in the round.

A workshop experience not to be missed! Fibre Artist Jacqui Fink has been knitting up a storm internationally with her fabulous Extreme Knitting, and we are excited to welcome her to our festival in 2017. Nurture your creative spirit in a unique workshop experience. Participants will have the opportunity to work with Jacqui’s own extreme knitting yarn that was launched in 2015. Named K1S1 (Knit One Share One), the yarn is an innovative premium felted yarn made from high quality merino wool.
